What is FTC DECODE?

FTC DECODE is the official game for the 2025-2026 FIRST Tech Challenge season. Teams compete to decode messages, collect samples, and score points in an exciting robotics competition.

Auto

The first 30 seconds of the match is the Autonomous period, where robots operate on pre-programmed instructions to score points.

TeleOp

Following Auto, the last 2 minutes of the match the the TeleOp period, where drivers control their robots to score points.

Endgame

The final 20 seconds of the Driver-Controlled period is Endgame, where teams race to park their robots in designated areas for bonus points (and Ranking Points!).

Field Layout

The FTC DECODE field features various zones including the starting positions, scoring areas, and parking zones. Robots must navigate this field to complete objectives and score points.

But robots can extend beyond these dimensions during Endgame
